The new laboratory building for the Augustenberg agricultural technology center in Karlsruhe-Durlach was handed over. The country has invested around 7.1 million euros in the four-storey new building with high-quality laboratory equipment for organic and inorganic-chemical analysis.

The new laboratory building in Karlsruhe-Derlach was handed over to the Landtechnische Center (ltz) Augustenberg hand over.

The four -storey new building in reinforced concrete skeleton construction has a connecting bridge to the listed laboratory building of the previous building on the ground floor. In addition, the new building has high-quality laboratory equipment for organic and inorganic-chemical analysis. Among other things, this includes central oxygen and inert gas supply. The ventilation and control technology ensures optimal conditions with simultaneous energy efficiency. Because demanding research places high demands on a stable climate in the laboratories. The heat supply takes place from the local heating network with biomass. On the roof of the new laboratory building there was a Photovoltaic system installed with an output of 24 kilowatt peak (KWP).

The country has invested around 7.1 million euros in the new building. The new building was Karlsruhe carried out by the state company Vermögens and construction Baden-Württemberg. In the next construction phase, the previous L1 laboratory building is to be renovated in order to be able to set up offices there.
