Mostly peaceful meetings in connection with the Middle East conflict
Interior Minister Strobl reported that last weekend 15 meetings with a total of around 3,000 participants took place for the Middle East conflict in Baden-Württemberg. Four of them were pro-Israeli and nine pro-Palestinian. The meetings were mostly peaceful. Since the attack of the radical Islamist Hamas on October 7, 2023, there have been a total of 89 meetings with around 13,100 participants in connection with the current development in the Middle East. Of these, 38 Pro-Israeli and 36 Pro Palestinian. Seven meetings have so far been banned by disposal.
Several crimes reported
Since October 7, 2023, over 3,000 police officers have been used in Baden-Württemberg in connection with the Middle East conflict. So far, crimes in the high double -digit range have been reported, especially the damage or removal of Israeli flags in public space.

The emergency services are sensitized and equipped with special use material in order to be able to react quickly to problematic situations. The security situation in Baden-Württemberg and above all the protection of Jewish and Israeli facilities are the focus of the police and the protection of the constitution. Facilities such as synagogues, schools and daycare centers are intensively monitored. Although there are no specific risk information, the police have increased the level of protection and uses more police officers.
Measures of the state government
The state government has already taken several measures to combat anti -Semitism. Among other things, around EUR 3.5 million was provided to the financial promotion of security measures to Jewish-Israelite institutions. In addition, around one million euros are made available to the Israelite religious communities annually for security personnel and alarm and registration systems. Technical days against anti -Semitism and hatred were also carried out and the cabinet committee "determined against hatred and agitation" was used.

The current meeting situation in connection with the Middle East conflict in Baden-Württemberg has so far been mostly peaceful. Nevertheless, the situation remains tense, and the police are increasing their measures to prevent anti -Semitic incidents. The state government has already taken extensive measures to ensure the protection of Jewish and Israeli institutions and to combat anti -Semitism. It is important that all citizens help to combat anti -Semitic ideas and to promote tolerant and respectful coexistence.
