A judgment could be made in a large number of the procedures at the latest on the day after the crime. The additional personnel and organizational effort associated with the implementation of the procedures is compensated for by the assignment of personnel positions, which were created in the household 2022 and in the current double budget 2023/2024 especially for this purpose.

According to this, the public prosecutor can submit an application for a decision in the accelerated procedure if the facts or the evidence allow an immediate negotiation. This special form of the procedure is only permitted before the district judge and the Court of lay judges.
Julia Böllert, the director of the Ulm District Court, emphasized: "With the accelerated processing of criminal proceedings, a higher deterrent can achieve and at the same time strengthened the need for security of the population."
