During this time, the dogs are prepared for their new task and learn to identify certain smells on data carriers. The dog handlers work intensively on the conditioning of the animals and complete sophisticated exams together with their four -legged friends.

The first data carrier detection dogs are initially used in various police headquarters in Baden-Württemberg. After a one -year test phase, it is decided whether the data carrier detection dogs are also used in other regional police headquarters.
