Exercise in crisis management-Baden-Württemberg participates in Lükex
The importance of exercises in disaster protection and crisis management cannot be emphasized enough. So that you are prepared in the best possible way in such emergencies, the state of Baden-Württemberg is again participating in the ninth ninth nationwide crisis management exercise "Lükex".
Baden-Württemberg already has a leading position in population protection and crisis management. Nevertheless, the country always strives to improve further. This can only be done through continuous practice. The safety of people in Baden-Württemberg is of great importance, so the right precautions are of enormous importance. This week, the cross -border crisis management exercise Lükex 23 starts, in which a cyber attack on government action is simulated.
Baden-Württemberg is a participant in this series of exercises right from the start and was already pioneers during the very first exercise in 2004. Already at the last Lükeex in 2018, the country took part in the highest level of participation. This time it will be no different, because the goal is to do everything for the safety of the people in Baden-Württemberg.
The ninth edition of the crisis management exercise Lükeex aims to further optimize national crisis management. Ministeries and authorities from the federal and state governments regularly practice critical infrastructure together with companies. This year the focus is on the communication and decision-making processes that are necessary to cope with a cyber attack on state and administration.
It is crucial that in a crisis everyone involved works in hand. Only with regular exercises can the structures of crisis management be continuously improved and cooperation with the federal government and other countries can be further developed. Baden-Württemberg goes one step further and will be the first country in Germany next year with an international participation using the European disaster protection process. This inclusion of other European countries in an exercise has so far been unique in Germany. With this major exercise, Baden-Württemberg sets an important milestone in disaster protection.
Participation in exercises such as Lükeex is of great importance in order to be prepared in the best possible way in an emergency. Baden-Württemberg is continuously committed to the safety of its citizens and uses every opportunity to further optimize crisis management. If such crises only take place in exercises, but if a similar situation should occur, you can at least be sure that Baden-Württemberg is ready to react appropriately.
