The Scientific Advisory Board currently includes four scientists from Baden-Württemberg. The scientific advisory board usually meets once a month in close exchange and trusting cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the ZSL and the IBBW. An important function of the advisory board is to advise the IBBW and the ZSL as well as the Ministry of Culture. In addition, a close interlinking of the institutions with leading scientific institutions is to be promoted. The members of the advisory board are selected from the point of view of a broad and balanced thematic expertise- from empirical educational research to the topics of school and teaching development and teacher education to economic and vocational training. Prof. Dr. Havva Engin
Prof. Dr. Havva Engin has been a professor of general pedagogy with a focus on intercultural education at the Heidelberg University of Education.
She studied high school teaching at the Technical University of Berlin, where she also did her doctorate. Then she researched and taught at the Karlsruhe University of Education and at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences. Her research focuses on "development of educational institutions in migration -shaped societies", "intercultural and interreligious education: religious radicalization of Muslim youth" and "language acquisition in the context of migration -related multilingualism".
