Land promotes neighborhood projects with 800,000 euros
The state of Baden-Württemberg continues its promotion of neighborhood development and again provides more than 800,000 euros. With the "Quarters impulses" funding program, the country has been supporting municipalities, cities and counties in the age and generational development of their quarters for over five years.
On August 18, 2023, the Minister for Social Affairs, Health and Integration, Manne Lucha, announced in Stuttgart that ten other cities and municipalities in Baden-Württemberg will benefit from this funding. A total of over 800,000 euros for projects in Aspach, Bad Friedrichshall, Bad Schönborn, Herbolzheim, Herrenberg, Leutkirch in Allgäu, Mannheim, Marbach am Neckar, Offenburg and Umkirch are provided.
Distribution development plays an important role in making municipalities and their quarters worth living for all generations. It is about creating living space, infrastructure and offers that meet the needs of the residents. Older people in particular are to be supported by barrier -free and age -appropriate apartments as well as good local supply and offers for social participation in the neighborhood. Networking of different generations also plays a major role in promoting social contacts and counteracting loneliness in old age.
The "Quarters impulses" support program supports the municipalities in planning and implementing such projects. It enables cities and municipalities financial support for measures such as the expansion of barrier -free living space, the construction of community facilities or the promotion of cross -generational offers. This strengthens the local district development and improves the quality of life of the residents.
Numerous successes were achieved in the quarters already funded. The creation of barrier -free apartments and the expansion of local supply have a positive impact on the participating municipalities. The networking of young and old in joint activities and projects has also turned out to be very positive. The country's funding gives the municipalities the opportunity to successfully implement their projects and to develop the quarters.
With the new promotion of neighborhood development by the state of Baden-Württemberg, the ten selected cities and municipalities will enable their projects to advance. This is another important step to improve the generational friendliness and quality of life in the quarters. The development of the neighborhood plays a central role in coping with demographic change and ensures that municipalities can continue to meet the needs of its residents in the future.
