Christoph Haiß becomes the new vice president at the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court. He succeeds Luitgard Wiggenhauser, who was appointed the new President of the Ravensburg Regional Court. The Minister of Justice and for Migration, Marion Gentges, presented him with the certificate of appointment on Monday, July 31, 2023.
Christoph Haiß is described as a technically outstanding and extremely committed judge who enjoys great reputation. In his previous career, he has taken on an impressive variety of tasks in both the judiciary and in the administrative area. He showed that he is a real communication talent and can work well in a team.
As Vice President of the Stuttgart Regional Court, Christoph Haiß not only set standards, but also proven that he can take on a leadership role part -time. With his extraordinary management, administrative and organizational talent, he is exactly the right one for the responsible office of Vice President at the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court, said Minister Gentges.
The Stuttgart Higher Regional Court employs around 500 people, including over 150 judges. The OLG district also includes eight regional courts and 56 district courts with a total of almost 1,000 judges.
Christoph Haiß was born in Würzburg in 1970 and joined the country's higher judicial service in 1999. During his assessment period, he worked at the Stuttgart District Court, the Sigmaringen Administrative Court and the Stuttgart public prosecutor. In 2002 he received his first position from the Stuttgart public prosecutor.
After three years of work as a speaker in the Ministry of Justice, Christoph Haiß moved to the Stuttgart Regional Court in 2005. On the occasion of the birth of his child, he reduced his share of labor to 0.5. During a trial delimitation in 2007, he also took over the management of the notary academy with a half of the labor and was appointed director on December 1, 2007.
in 2008 Christoph Haiß was appointed judge at the Higher Regional Court and reduced his share of labor again to 0.5 to concentrate entirely on the management of the notary academy. After another stop in the Ministry of Justice, he returned to the Stuttgart Regional Court in 2016, whereby his share of labor was increased to 0.75.
