Deges cooperates with land with a difficult B 33 expansion

The state of Baden-Württemberg has announced that it will cooperate with the nationwide planning and construction company Deges due to the special challenges in the new and expansion of the B 33. The difficult soil conditions represent a challenge and require additional advice and competence. It is the major project expansion of the B 33 new between Allensbach (West) and Konstanz (Landsplatz), in which a collaboration with Deges is planned.

The size of the project and the special soil conditions present the experts with some challenges. Transport Minister Winfried Hermann emphasized that the cooperation with the Deges and its tunnel subject expertise as well as the project team of the regional council, which is integrated locally into the project, should optimize the project implementation. The special constellation of the substructure with a tunnel above is a geological rarity and makes the construction work significantly.

Working with Deges offers the state of Baden-Württemberg the opportunity to use the experiences of the federal society at large-scale tunnel projects throughout Germany. This should contribute to acceleration, risk minimization and optimization of the B 33 expansion. The regional council, in the overall responsibility of the project, is intended to ensure the rapid progress of the expansion of the B 33 with project know -how and local knowledge.

In addition, the state of Baden-Württemberg plans to transfer further projects to Deges in order to cope with the increasing requirements in road construction administration. The measures "B 31 Meersburg-Mimmerstaad" and the section of the "B 27 from Leinfelden-Echterdingen North to Leinfelden-Echterdingen Süd" have already been transferred to Deges, and an expansion of the Deges project issues in the country will be sought in the medium term.

Cooperation with Deges therefore represents an important measure to cope with the challenges of B 33 expansion and to optimize the efficiency and quality of the project. This cooperation could continue to be pioneered in the future for coping with large infrastructural projects.
