Effective conservation measures: Baden-Württemberg invests in road renovation
The Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg recently presented the renovation program for 2024, in which a total of around 290 new conservation measures are planned in the federal and state road network. The principle of "conservation and renovation before renovation, expansion and new building" is still being followed.
Transport Minister Winfried Hermann emphasized that the available conservation means are used effectively to continuously renovate the road network in Baden-Württemberg. Since the paradigm shift in 2011, which contains the focus on conservation measures, the condition of the road network has been kept largely constant in the past ten years.
The planned conservation measures will help to maintain the infrastructure in Baden-Württemberg on a good and safe condition. Due to the regular renovation of streets, damage can be remedied early and the lifespan of the streets can be extended. This not only benefits traffic safety, but also has positive effects on the environment, since well -maintained roads consume fewer resources for repairs and new buildings.
Overall, the continuous renovation and preservation of the road network is an important step to ensure mobility and traffic safety in Baden-Württemberg in the long term. The consistent implementation of the principle "Conservation and renovation before renovation, expansion and new building" ensures that the limited financial means are used efficiently for the maintenance of the roads.
