Advanced prevention projects: Baden-Württemberg distinguishes traffic safety initiatives
Baden-Württemberg draws organizations for outstanding traffic prevention projects from
Baden-Württemberg remains on the right path for more traffic safety by supporting and characterizing innovative prevention projects. Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Thomas Strobl emphasized the importance of traffic safety work as the core task of the state at the awarding of the Transport Prevention Provision on November 22, 2023 in Ludwigsburg. The ambitious goal of the country is to no longer have road dead and seriously injured in road traffic, a vision that can only be achieved together with motivated partners and advanced ideas.
This year four organizations were awarded for their outstanding ideas, projects and campaigns: the association "Life Inclusive" for its "Security Training for People with Handicap", the Realschule Oberkirch for their concept "Cycling at the Realschule Oberkirch", the district senior council Esslingen for his "Pedelec training for senior citizens" and the entire parish council "Total Advisory Board Ulm opens the traffic training area".
The award of these organizations shows that the state of Baden-Württemberg has already made great progress in the direction of Vision Zero and continues to support committed road users who work for more safety in road traffic.
The transport prevention prize has been awarded eight in traffic since 1994 as part of the traffic safety campaign and recognizes outstanding activities in traffic accident prevention. The prize money of 1,500 euros each is borne by the Gib eight partner organizations and support the further efforts to make more traffic safety in Baden-Württemberg.
The awarding of the transport prevention prize by the Landesverkehrwacht Baden-Württemberg e.V. shows that the traffic safety of the people in the country is important. The excellent projects have the potential to encourage other initiatives and organizations to get involved in more traffic safety and thus support the Vision Zero.
Overall, the awarding of the transport prevention price underlines the importance of innovative prevention projects and campaigns in Baden-Württemberg and illustrates that the path to vision zero can only be achieved together and with creative ideas.
