From November 18th to 20th, the European Festival Summit will take place in the Tollhaus, an important meeting for festival organizers, creative minds and event professionals from all over Europe. The event is not only an exchange among like-minded people, but also the end of the EU-funded 3F Future-Fit Festivals. This project, which is under the leadership of Karlsruhe Marketing and Event GmbH, examines how festivals can be responsible in the future. The aim is to strengthen the resilience of the festivals towards future challenges and to secure their importance for millions of young people in Europe. Interestingly, a sequel to this project has been approved over four years, which shows how important the topic is.

The challenges that festivals face are diverse and range from adapting to climatic changes to integrating new technologies. The discussions during the summit will help find innovative solutions that not only keep festivals above water, but also make them future -proof.
