8.8 million euros for 162 future -oriented projects in rural areas
The development program rural area (ELR) enables the implementation of 162 structurally significant and quick -implementable projects with a promotion of 8.8 million euros. The Minister of Nutrition, Rural Area and Consumer Protection, Peter Hauk, announced this gratifying message on August 11, 2023.
With the additional subsidy volume, future -oriented projects can be realized in private, municipal and commercial sectors. The ELR thus contributes significantly to the creation of a stable basic supply, contemporary life and living in the town centers and sustainable jobs in rural areas. In particular, the high demand in housing was taken into account and urgent projects were taken into account.
It is particularly gratifying that around 30 percent of the funded projects receive the funding for climate -friendly construction methods. Most of these are buildings or structural extensions that use the wooden building material. Minister Hauk emphasized the ecological and economic value of wood as a building material and praised the investors who use wood in an innovative way. These projects help to meet the increasingly clear need for a regional -based, climate -friendly economy.
The connection between climate protection and structural development is the focus of the ELR. From the 2024 program year, new buildings will only be encouraged in the funding areas of living, work and community facilities if they are built CO2-saving. In addition, municipalities can have model projects on climate reed or adaptation to climate change with up to 50 percent.
The ELR promotes a wide range of investments that have a structural effect. This affects both municipal measures and private or commercial projects. In particular, the maintenance and improvement of the existing building fabric is the focus. The funding conditions were further expanded in this area to save resources and areas.
The application deadline for recording applications for ELR 2024 runs in many municipalities until mid -September 2023.
The development program of rural areas (ELR) is the central funding program of the state government for the integrated structural development of cities and municipalities in rural areas as well as rural places in the compression room and the marginal zones around the compression rooms. In 2024, both municipal and private investments in the focus areas of interior development/living, basic care, work and community institutions can be funded. Interested private investors receive detailed information from the municipality (investment location). The admission to the annual program 2024 requires a request for admission from the municipality, which can be submitted digitally by September 29, 2023.
The development program of rural areas thus offers an important possibility to promote and further develop rural areas in Baden-Württemberg. Interested parties will find more information in an explanatory film by the Ministry of Nutrition, Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection.
