Participation in the nationwide campaign days also contributes to the pedagogical accompaniment of the EU school program. The institutions receive support from the state initiative "Conscious Children's Nutrition" (BEKI). Beki speakers carry out exciting activities with the children to awaken their joy and enjoyment of eating. In addition, these specialists inform pedagogical specialists and parents about topics such as children's nutrition and how they can better integrate nutritional education into everyday life. The offers of the State Initiative Beki are free of charge and take place in every district in Baden-Württemberg.

Currently, around 450,000 children in around 5,500 facilities in Baden-Württemberg benefit from the EU school program. You will regularly receive fruit, vegetables, milk and dairy products from approved EU school program suppliers who are distributed free of charge to the children. Every year the number of participating institutions increases by around five percent.

The European Union provides 3.3 million euros for the program area for the program area and vegetables and 1.2 million euros for milk and dairy products. These funds are used exclusively to finance food, so that the majority of the costs are covered. The participating institutions have a share of around 25 percent and VAT itself, usually through sponsors. These can be clubs, local companies, the suppliers or the furnishing carriers themselves.
