Availability of information on the AMS area monitoring system for 2024: Deadline for the application change by the end of September
Baden-Württemberg has announced that the information on the results from the AMS area monitoring system will be available for area controls in 2024 from the end of August. This applies to all application geometries as part of the joint application, which includes EU financial means, including direct payments and various funding programs for ecological regulations, environmental and climate protection.
The AMS is based on the evaluation of Sentinel satellite data and provides the applicant extensive information that enables a review and, if necessary, adjustments to the application geometries by September 30, 2024. Users can view the results via the "Fiona"-area information and online application-and easily correct any inconsistencies or changes. Particularly noticeable is the use of a traffic light system that visually illustrates whether the application information could be confirmed: Green means confirmation, yellow indicates ambiguities and red indicates that the information could not be verified.
For areas with red results, applicants are asked to provide evidence, for example by georeferenced photos that can be submitted via the newly introduced "Profile (BW)" app. This app enables efficient and user -friendly validation of the application data and is intended to help increase the transparency and traceability of area management.
The deadline for submitting changes and evidence is considered critical, since from October 1, 2024 there are no longer any sanction -free adjustments possible. Agricultural companies should carefully observe the information provided and deadlines in order to avoid possible financial losses.
Possible effects:
-
Bureaucratic relief : The introduction of the automated area monitoring system and the app could significantly reduce the administrative effort for farmers.
-
increased transparency : The use of satellite data enables objective and comprehensible control of the application data, which could strengthen trust in the funding measures.
-
Risks in the event of non -compliance : Farmers must be aware that if there is no corrections or evidence, there is a risk of financial sanctions. Grants could be lost in particular in the case of red -marked areas.
-
innovation and technology : The implementation of technical solutions could be a model function for other federal states or EU member states that also fight with the digitization of application procedures.
- Consciousness formation : The striking traffic light identification could lead to farmers pay more attention to the correct management of their areas in order to avoid financial disadvantages.
Overall, the new system requires a rethink among farmers who are now actively involved in the process of surface monitoring and adaptation. Timings and deadlines are crucial in order to be able to use the grants offered successfully and without losses.
