Gereon Basler is the new head of the Georgii Gymnasium Esslingen

The Georgii-Gymnasium Esslingen has had a new headmaster since January 20, 2021. The study manager Gereon Basler succeeds Joachim Scheffzek, who retired on July 31, 2019. In the intermediate phase, Gereon Basler temporarily took over the deputy school management.

Gereon Basler, born in 1971 in Ruit Ad Fildern, studied mathematics, sports and sports science at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg to teach at high schools. He completed his legal internship at the Hoptbühl Gymnasium in Villingen-Schwenningen and at the Leibniz Gymnasium in Rottweil until 2000. Here he took on numerous tasks in the administration and organization of the school and was involved in the school development group. He has been deputy headmaster at the Georgii-Gymnasium Esslingen since 2011. Basler has also been a deputy headmaster at the Georgii-Gymnasium since 2020.

With the Study Head of Gereon Basler, the Georgii-Gymnasium Esslingen receives a headmaster who has many years of experience and is familiar with school conditions in Esslingen and the region.
