Corona regulation for separation adapted

The Ministry of Social Affairs has adapted the Corona Ordinance. Instead of insulation obligation, a masked peak applies to contact with persons not belonging to the household.

Already last Friday, November 11, 2022, the countries of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse and Schleswig-Holstein heralded a new phase in dealing with the pandemic and agreed on joint recommendations for relaxing the secretion rules. On November 15, 2022, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs and Health published the corresponding Corona regulation for secretion, it comes into force on November 16, 2022

Anyone who will be tested positively for the coronavirus in Baden-Württemberg in the future will no longer have to go into domestic isolation for at least five days from Wednesday, November 16. Rather, the new regulations in the case of positively tested persons provide a mask obligation outside of their own apartment.

cancellation of the obligation to separate currently justifiable

"The abolition of the separation obligation is currently justifiable from an infectious point of view. Last but not least, the experiences in our neighboring European countries that have already taken this step show this," said Social and Health Minister Manne Lucha on the occasion of the publication of the new regulation. “But it is also clear that we are not allowed to ignore the coronavirus. Personal protective measures such as wearing masks are still important, not least because of an increasing number of other respiratory diseases, such as influenza.

Basically, if you are sick and have symptoms, you should stay at home as before and have it sick. Everyone can protect themselves from severe courses with a vaccination. In addition, we continue to observe the infection very carefully, so that we continuously put the regulations to the test. ”

For people who were tested positively for infection with the Coronavirus Sars-Cov-2 using a quick test or PCR test, a five-day mask obligation with a medical mask or FFP2 mask is intended according to the new regulation. This applies consistently outside of your own apartment. In this way, positive people can also go for a positively tested person, for example shopping or in the fresh air.

If a minimum distance of 1.5 meters can be adhered to from other people outdoors, the mask can also be removed. Children who have not yet enrolled are excluded from the obligation to wear a mask.

higher protection standards continue to

Persons tested positively may not be entered or active there at least five days after the positive test. Of course, this does not apply to people who are treated, looked after, accommodated or maintained in these facilities. "Of course, we continue to maintain higher protection standards for vulnerable groups. Therefore, particularly in medical-care facilities, stricter rules must still apply to positive tested," said Minister Lucha.

In addition to medical-care institutions, these higher protection standards also apply in mass accommodation and correctional facilities.
