Helb: Help for (expectant) parents of children with disabilities

New online platform Helb supports parents of children with disabilities

Families with a child with disabilities or possible impairment often face special challenges. In order to support you in this situation, the Landesverband Baden-Württemberg of Lebenshilfe for people with disability e.V. has launched the online platform Helb. This serves as the first point of contact for parents and relatives to obtain information and to be conveyed to regional support offers.

The platform works closely with relevant associations and clubs to offer the families the best possible help. By financial support from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration with more than 70,000 euros, the offer can be further expanded and improved.

dr. Ute Leidig, State Secretary in the Ministry, emphasized the importance of supporting families in this situation: “Families who have or expect a child with disabilities should not be left alone. The Helb online platform will help you to maintain the important information and find suitable solutions. It is important that Helb catches these families and supports them on their way."

The promotion of the Helb online platform shows the appreciation and support for parents of children with disabilities in Baden-Württemberg. Due to the improved accessibility of information and help offers, families can better inform about their situation and receive the necessary support. This not only strengthens the families concerned, but also the entire society in dealing with diversity and inclusion.
