Land promotes 17 LSBTIQ*projects

The country promotes 17 LSBTIQ*projects with a total of 115,000 euros. The initiatives show how diverse Baden-Württemberg is.

The country promotes in the course of the action plan "for Acceptance & same rights “ A total of 17 projects with 115,000 euros. They all make an important contribution to the visualization and equality of lesbian, gays, bisexuals, trans*, inter*and queer people (for short LSBTIQ*). Not only projects from large cities were submitted, but also from rural regions.

"The initiatives show how diverse Baden-Württemberg is," said Minister of Social Affairs and Integration Manne Lucha on Thursday, June 1, 2023, on the occasion of the announcement of the funded projects. "We support this commitment with our action plan and send a clear sign against any kind of discrimination against queer people."

Equality of LSBTIQ*Personal is a challenge for society as a whole

The equality of LSBTIQ*person is not just an issue for politics and administration, but also a challenge for society as a whole. Many active people in the communities, groups, organizations and associations implement innovative projects- and thus design our society more open and tolerant.
The annual support call for regional projects in the course of the action plan "für acceptance & equal rights" supports the activists on site with the organization of events, qualification and dialogue formats, information materials or publicity campaigns across the country over.

Also this year the response to the call for funding was enormous, many creative project applications have been received from which a selection had to be made.
