The number of girls and boys in the organizations of the population has often remained the same or even grown, despite the necessary restrictions on the implementation of young events in presence during the corona pandemic. The number of girls and boys in the youth fire brigades, for example, has increased by 6.4 percent in the past five years. Over 32,000 young people regularly meet at the municipal fire brigades for training and further education but also for a comradely exchange.

"It is particularly gratifying for me that the proportion of girls in the groups is growing continuously among the youth fire brigades. In five years an increase of 23 percent. My thanks go to all youth group leaders who do excellent youth work in addition to their operational activity, ”says Interior Minister Thomas Strobl.
