Print Thing #25 - Quo Vadis social cohesion?
"Quo Vadi's social cohesion?": For the third time, the Bertelsmann Foundation examined the social cohesion in Baden-Württemberg in a study funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration. In addition to the current topics of the Federal Council, the 25th episode of the “Druck Matters” podcast deals with the social consequences of Corona pandemic.
The result is sobering and demands a clear positioning at the political level, because mutual trust has dropped significantly in the pandemic years. This puts less trust in people in the immediate vicinity, but also politics and institutions. This has far -reaching consequences for everyone, because social coexistence and democracy are based on mutual trust, solidarity and cohesion.
But how can people be supported to experience more social participation again and how can social cohesion be strengthened overall? State Secretary Rudi Hoogvliet speaks to Dr. Kai Unzicker, Senior Project Manager at the Bertelsmann Foundation.
This time State Secretary Rudi Hoogvliet brought up the subject of special funds for the Bundeswehr and the associated change in the Basic Law. What this means for the Federal Council and how the countries themselves contribute to national security, it goes out briefly and concisely.
