Stuttgart Central Station offers new shuttle service
Recently, travelers can use a new shuttle service at Stuttgart Central Station, which provides support for the partly long distances during the construction period. The State Disabled Officer Simone Fischer recently took part in a test drive of the shuttle and convinced of its advantages.
The shuttle service is in use every day between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. and bound on the way from the tracks to the station forecourt on Arnulf-Klett-Platz. The special property of this service is that a previous booking is not necessary. Travelers can simply wait at the stop and climb the shuttle as soon as they arrive there, or they can climb spontaneously when they see it freely. This is an enormous relief, especially for people with mobility restrictions or visual impairments, since the path from the track to the Arnulf-Klett-Platz is often difficult.
The shuttle service will continue to be available until the underground station is continued. This year, the company is ensured by the financing of "Stuttgart - my city". The shuttle started at the beginning of August and was a great success.
Simone Fischer emphasized the importance of such barrier-free means of transport and emphasized that the shuttle service is an enormous improvement. She pointed out that people with disabilities or restricted mobility often face major challenges, especially when using public transport. The new shuttle service helps to reduce hurdles and to facilitate access to the public transport system for everyone.
The reactions of passengers to the shuttle service at Stuttgart Central Station have so far been extremely positive. Many people expressed their gratitude for this new possibility of locomotion and the support that the shuttle offers. Older people or people with young children in particular emphasized the advantages of the shuttle and stated that this is an enormous relief for them.
The shuttle service at Stuttgart main station is an example of how a city grows with the needs of its citizens and offers them a safe and practical way of locomotion. It is to be hoped that such barrier -free means of transport will be expanded even further in the future and that they can also establish themselves in other cities. Because every person should have the opportunity to participate in all areas of public life and to be able to move freely, regardless of any restrictions.
