The funding program Start-up BW Pre Seed Successfully supports eight young companies in 2024

The funding program Start-up BW Pre Seed, led by the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism and L-Bank, successfully awarded financing commitments for eight young companies in early 2024. These companies, which were only founded in 2023, receive support in the form of up to 200,000 euros in order to establish and develop in their respective market environment.

The funding commitments show the importance and success of this program, especially in times when it is difficult for young companies to receive financial means. Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economics, Labor and Tourism, emphasized the importance of support for young companies and praised the country's initiative.

A clear focus in the first round of selection 2024 is on the subject of artificial intelligence (AI). This underlines the interest and the potential that young Baden-Württemberg entrepreneurs want to recognize and use in this area.

The funding amount is a maximum of 200,000 euros per company, with the country taking over 80 percent and a co-investor contributes the remaining 20 percent. The L-Bank coordinates the program and checks the use of funding.

The funded companies, including Alloqis GmbH, Cadaico GmbH and Celekohr GmbH, have already received a funding commitment and can now submit formal applications. These companies offer innovative solutions in areas such as software development, AI optimization and smart company solutions.

The start-up BW Pre Seed program has existed since 2018 and has already supported over 230 young innovative companies in Baden-Württemberg. With a sum of around seven million euros made available in 2024, the program shows itself as an important building block of business development agency in the country.
