"Dr. Ruppert is technically ideally suited due to her many years of experience in the state administration to take over this highlighted office," said Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann. At the same time, he thanked Vice President Ria Taxis, who has headed the Court of Auditors since the end of the term of office of Günther Benz on March 31, 2023.

The President of the Auditors' President is appointed by the Prime Minister with the approval of the state parliament. The vote in the state parliament is scheduled to take place on May 24, 2023, so that Dr. Ruppert the office on July 1, 2023.
