The state competition "Start-up BW Local"
"Start-up BW Local" is a state competition from the Baden-Württemberg Economic Ministry. It supports municipalities, cities and districts in the conceptual creation of start -friendly structures on site. The founders then evaluate the concepts and give the most convincing participants the “Start-up-friendly community” label. Since the beginning of the format, in addition to a community of start-up supporters, unbureaucratic structures have emerged from which founders benefit.
The competition is sponsored together by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the municipal umbrella organizations in Baden-Württemberg parish day , Stadtag , Grafschaftsag as well as from industrial Baden-Württemberg (Bwihk) and from Baden-Württembergische Handwerkstag (BWHT) .
With the concept of state competition, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has created an infrastructure that is unique in Europe that promotes the commitment of business development agencies, visible and recognizes, according to the European Commission, which has commissioned the state, competition on the shortlist of this year's European Business Promotion Award. The competitive approach is therefore already considered a European "Best Practice".
