Promotion for guest platform in the Hochschwarzwald

The state government promotes the digital guest platform in Hochschwarzwald with 155,000 euros. Because digital tools open up new opportunities and help to save costs. 

In the Upper Conditional Region of Hochwarzwald, there are numerous guest cards with leisure activities for tourists on site. That should now be digital and thus smarter. In the future, travelers in the Black Forest only need their smartphone and have all leisure and vacation offers in their pockets. The state government of Baden-Württemberg supports the project with around 155,000 euros.

This not only has advantages for travelers, but also for everyone who shaping and promoting tourism in the country. We set standards in the Hochwarzwald, create a real added value that can also be used elsewhere in the country, ”said the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Thomas Strobl When the donation is handed over to the Hochschwarzwald Tourismus GmbH in Stuttgart.

tailor -made offers

"With an individual approach of the guests and tailor-made offers for the different target groups, regions in the tourism competition stand out. Digitization also offers the opportunity to structure internal processes. In addition, the information and booking process is bundled and thus simplified for the guests," explained State Secretary of Tourism Dr. Patrick Rapp

The digital guest platform is intended to expand the existing card systems in the Hochschwarzwald holiday region. In the future, the indoor and outdoor pools, museums or ski lifts from the municipalities can be booked online. In this function it serves the users of the classic card systems. In addition, it should be possible to integrate individualized performance packages. In this way, special customer groups can be addressed and new provider groups can be developed.

This support helps us immensely to make the digital transformation for the Hochschwarzwald, but also for other tourist destinations in the country. This enables visitor steering and the associated savings of resources.

Other tourism associations in the country can benefit

With the completion of the platform, the project is not complete. As a best practice, other tourism associations in the country should be able to benefit from the results. The project workshops provides for this. Interested municipalities and associations can already be noted at the Interior and Digitization Ministry.

The state government of Baden-Württemberg is funding the project with around 155,000 euros. This corresponds to a share of 50 percent of the expenses.

Baden-Württemberg has set out to become digital area region in Europe.
