Geopol Tech from the Stuttgart University of Technology and the University of Stuttgart did it-the team qualified for the state finals of the founding competition "Start-up BW Elevator Pitch 2024". The competition, which was advertised for the tenth time by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, is looking for the most innovative business ideas and the best founders in Baden-Württemberg.

The Regional Cup ASAP BW Finale #10 took place on July 19, 2023, where 25 teams were able to present their ideas in front of a jury. Geopol Tech convinced of all the participating teams with her idea. The jury was impressed by its business idea and promoted it to the state finals in 2024.

By participating in the "Start-up BW Elevator Pitch", the founders can present their business models to the public at an early stage and establish valuable contacts for the further development of their company.

The founding competition "Start-up BW Elevator Pitch" has been carried out by the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism Baden-Württemberg as part of the state campaign "Start-up BW" since October 2013. In the current round of competition, the preliminary decisions are organized by Start-up BW partners. The state finalists of the individual regions then compete against each other in the state finals.

The participating teams usually have three minutes to convince the jury and the audience of their business idea. You will be rated by a qualified jury. In the preliminary decision, at least seven start-ups, founders should pitch.

In order to qualify for the state finals, the participants must meet certain criteria. This includes, among other things, that the start-up or the founder is at least 18 years old on the day of the competition. In addition, the start-up must not have worked on the implementation of the business idea for more than five years at the time of the competition or is in the project or pre-foundation phase or has already been founded. In addition, it must be a specific business idea and the company's location must be in Baden-Württemberg. Ideas that were already presented as part of the "Start-up BW Elevator Pitch" cannot be taken into account.
