Makemint reaches the state finals of the Start-up BW Elevator Pitch 2024

The start-up "Makemint" made it into the state finals of the "Start-Up BW Elevator Pitch 2024" with its innovative learning platform Mintcademy® in the preliminary decision of the start-up WoW Challenge 2023. The jury was convinced of the team of the team from Schwäbisch Gmünd and selected it among numerous applicants from all over Baden-Württemberg.

The founding competition "Start-up BW Elevator Pitch" is advertised for the tenth time by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in order to find the most imaginative business ideas and the best founders of the country. Throughout Baden-Württemberg, preliminary decisions take place that are organized independently by the partners. The start-up WoW Challenge 2023 took place on September 21, 2023 and delighted with nine teams that presented their business ideas in front of a specialist jury.

Minister of Economic Affairs Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut congratulated the newly elected state finalist and emphasized the importance of founders for the future of the economy. The state campaign "Start-up BW" offers you the opportunity to present your business models to the public at an early stage and to establish valuable contacts for the further development of your companies.

The "Start-up BW Elevator Pitch" has been carried out since October 2013 as a component of the state campaign "Start-up BW" by the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism Baden-Württemberg. In the current competition round, the preliminary decisions are organized by the partners of Start-up BW, who send their state finalists to the state finals.

The participants, participants and start-up teams usually have three minutes to convince the jury and the audience of their business idea. A qualified jury evaluates the presentations. In the preliminary decision, at least seven start-ups, founders.

In order to qualify for the state finals, the following criteria must be fulfilled: The start-up / founder must be at least 18 years old on the day of the competition, must not have worked on the specific implementation of the business idea for more than five years and have been in the project or pre-foundation phase. In addition, it has to be a specific business idea, unfortunately fictional ideas cannot be taken into account. The location of the company must be in Baden-Württemberg and the business idea must not yet have been presented as part of the "Start-up BW Elevator Pitch".

The “Makemint” team has apparently met all the requirements with its learning platform Mintcademy® and was able to convince the jury with its innovative concept. With the move into the state finals of the "Start-up BW Elevator Pitch 2024", the start-up receives an additional platform to further familiarize its business idea and to lay the basics for a successful development of the company.

The start-up scene in Baden-Württemberg benefits from such founding competitions and the support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Due to the targeted promotion of founders, the country's innovative strength is strengthened and the economy is advanced.
