The clinic pharmacy was housed in the supply center by conversions and extensions and thus ties in with the existing infrastructure. The work processes are facilitated by the good delivery situation and the direct connection to the existing goods transport system. A logistical transshipment site was created on a total of five levels. The heart of the warehouse and logistics area forms a semi-automatic picking system. The modern hospital pharmacy also includes a Laboratory area of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) of around 700 square meters.

The pharmacy was connected to the existing district heating line. The renovation and expansion of the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) could be undercut by 45 percent.

The country invested around 21.3 million euros in the renovated and expanded pharmacy in Tübingen.

The university pharmacy was previously housed in a building from 1956 at Röntgenweg 9 in Tübingen. However, the building structure did not allow any conclusive logistical processes. The central location in Ottfried-Müller-Straße 6 now has a good connection to a delivery route and a direct connection to the existing goods traffic system.
