New EU funding for Interreg Europe Program
The Ministry of Economic Affairs has presented the new funding guidelines of the current EU promotion call as part of the Interreg Europe program. The program is intended to strengthen European cooperation.
On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, the Ministry of Economic Affairs held an information event on the new funding guidelines of the Interreg Europe program. The program aims to strengthen European cooperation by providing financial subsidies for European collaborations.
The event was aimed at representatives of the counties and municipalities, business promoters, chambers of industry and commerce and state agencies. The Minister of Economics, Labor and Tourism, Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, emphasized the importance of European cooperation and emphasized that joint efforts should be made across borders.
The Interreg Europe Program promotes strategic cooperation between regional actors from all over Europe in EU key topics such as innovation, competitiveness of small and medium -sized companies or resource efficiency. The third funding advertisement of the Interreg Europe program starts on March 20, 2024. Interested parties can then make applications for funding.
Interreg Europe is the so-called “Policy Learning” program of the EU in the field of regional development. In project partners, projects can work together with other actors from all over Europe to improve their politics for the six upper targets of intelligent, better connected and social closeness and better regional administration.
The Interreg programs are part of the European Union's structural and investment policy. Baden-Württemberg participates in four transnational and interregional program, which are coordinated by the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism.
