Symbolic funding notices for digital hubs strengthen innovation and digitization in Baden-Württemberg
The Minister of Economic Affairs of Baden-Württemberg, Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, has given symbolic support notices to the Digital Hubs Oberschwaben and Heilbronn-Franken. This funding is intended to strengthen innovation and digitization in regional economic centers and support companies as well as start-ups in the digital age.
The Digital Hub Oberschwaben receives a support of around 517,000 euros in order to enable small and medium-sized companies as well as start-ups to access relevant content, methods and skills in the digital transformation process. This hub focuses on the areas of digitization, sustainability, transformation and innovation and offers various offers such as information transfer, advice, corporate visits and practical experience in creative rooms. The Digital Hub Oberschwaben is operated by a consortium, consisting of BWCON GmbH, the Economic and Innovation Funding Society Region Ravensburg mbH and the digital future center Allgäu-Oberschwaben GmbH.
The Digital Hub Heilbronn-Franconia 2.0 benefits from a funding of 950,000 euros and is already in the second round. In this phase, proven concepts are to be deepened and tailored to the needs of companies in the region. The aim is to counteract the shortage of skilled workers, to promote the digital transformation of companies and to build a sustainable ecosystem for founders and outputs. This hub is operated by a consortium consisting of HFCON GmbH & Co. KG, Futurelabs gGmbH and the Heilbronn University
The Digital Hubs Oberschwaben and Heilbronn-Franken are part of the Baden-Württemberg digital hub network, which comprises a total of twelve regional hubs and offers companies, start-ups and research actors helpful support and infrastructure for digitization projects. This funding is a central measure of the Business 4.0 Baden-Württemberg Initiative, which wants to drive the digitization of the economy and in particular want to support small and medium-sized companies.
The symbolic delivery handover by Minister Hoffmeister-Kraut illustrates the clear commitment of the Ministry of Economic Affairs for Innovation and Digitization in regional economic centers. The promotion of the Digital Hubs Oberschwaben and Heilbronn-Franken is expected to help advance the regional economy in an innovative way and to strengthen the competitiveness of companies.
