Still high demand for social living space funding
Still high demand for social living space funding
The country's program for Promotion of social housing construction is highly attractive. In 2023, it also met with such great interest that the approval volume for the whole year of 463 million euros is already proven with applications. This was announced on May 17, 2023, the Minister of Land Development and Living, Nicole Razavi. "Despite a significantly increased approval volume, there may also be delays in all funding lines in 2023."
in all funding lines, i.e. both in the social rental space funding property support , applications can still be made. These are also made by the L-Bank , which implemented, registered and edited. In many cases, however, the approval is expected to be able to take place only in the coming financial year. In 2024, 551 million euros will then be available - another 88 million euros more than this year. For comparison: In 2022, 427 million euros were available for social living space funding, in the years before it was 250 million euros.
funding program further developed in accordance with the fit
"The continued strong demand for our funding program gives me hope that we can stagger the trend reversal in social housing that has initiated last year, so we will also create more new social housing in the coming years than to fall out of the bond," said the minister. In principle, the lively demand for the country's living space promotion program is a good sign, according to the minister. "We further developed our funding program in 2022 to keep it attractive. We succeeded," said the minister.
The high demand that already used in 2022 should also be attributed to the fact that the general framework conditions in freely financed housing have deteriorated rapidly due to price and interest jumps, and the minister explained further risks. "Rental housing without government funding is obviously hardly profitable in many places. That is why the living space promotion program is the right answer in difficult times," says Nicole Razavi.
