Haian attack in Australia: Man dies while fishing in front of Humpy Island!
A tragic incident occurred in front of the northeast coast of Australia when a man was attacked by a shark while fishing with his family. The attack took place on Saturday evening (local time) in front of Humpy Island in the Keppel Bay Islands National Park, about 18 kilometers off the coast of Queensland. Despite the efforts of the paramedics to save the life of the man, he succumbed to his serious injuries.
The type of shark that caused the attack remains unclear. This incident is not the only one in the region, since, according to a specialized database, at least four other shark attacks were registered in Australian waters in which two women were seriously injured, such as pz-news.de reported.
Popularity of the Keppel Islands
The Keppel Islands, including Humpy Island, are known for their picturesque landscape and a variety of leisure opportunities. They attract many boaters and offer activities such as fishing, relax on lonely beaches and overnight stays under the starry sky. The Great Keppel Island in particular is famous for its 17 beaches, on which you can often be alone, and for snorkeling options with turtles on Shelving Beach, such as Visitcapricorn.com.au reports.
Humpy Island itself, part of the Keppel Bay National Park, is a popular destination for camping and offers both toilets and shadows. The island is known as a fishing and diving site, which makes it an attraction for outdoor enthusiasts.
