Eurowings reports boom for Madeira and Corsica

The airline Eurowings has a successful start to the 2025 summer flight schedule at Cologne/Bonn Airport. The high demand for new travel destinations, including the popular holiday destinations Madeira and Corsica, is particularly remarkable. These destinations are part of an extended offer that the airline has set up for the coming travel time.

During the Easter holidays, Cologne/Bonn Airport expects a large number of travelers. In particular, around 61,000 passengers will fly towards Antalya, which underlines the popularity of this destination. In comparison, there are around 60,000 passengers towards Mallorca, which continues to represent the most frequented connection. This reflects the ongoing preference of holidaymakers for classic beach destinations during the summer months.

Eurowings, however, not only targets the typical sun destinations. The city flight tours also become more important. According to a company spokesman, Vienna and London are the preferred destinations for city travelers this year. Other popular destinations are Prague and Edinburgh, which also offer last-minute travelers.

The introduction of new routes in the summer months strengthens the airline's portfolio. In addition to Madeira and Corsica, flights to Porto in Portugal and Klagenfurt in Austria are also available. In addition, the connection to the city of Erbil is launched in Iraq from May 2025, which shows that Eurowings also wants to gain a foothold in less traditional markets.

The continuously growing interest in long -distance travel, especially after Dubai, is also evident. Due to the high demand, the flight offer from the winter flight schedule will be maintained by the end of April 2025. Extensions have already been announced for the next winter season, in which the connections to Dubai are to be increased from three to four frequencies per week.
