Introduction of a new airline

From the 2025 summer season, the European charter flight landscape is enriched by the new airline "Air 001". This was launched in cooperation with the Polish tour operator ITaka by the Bulgarian Aircling Club Electra Airways. The new brand aims to transport holidaymakers from Poland into popular travel destinations and occurs under its own name and design, while the legal operation is still under the supervision of Electra Airways.

fleet composition and design

"Air 001" will initially have a fleet of four aircraft, including three Airbus A320 and an Airbus A321. These machines are known for their reliability and efficiency on short and medium distance. The striking design in lively red tones and pink underlines the identity of the airline and can easily be recognized.

operating locations and route network

The airline will offer flights from four Polish cities - Katowice, Warsaw, Wroclaw and Poznan. The selection of these locations ensures that both the south and the West and the middle of Poland are covered. Connections to popular holiday destinations such as Greece, Spain, Egypt and Turkey are planned for the high demand for sunny holiday locations.

sales path and organization

The distribution of the flights is carried out exclusively via the ITAKA channels, which means that travelers can not only book the flight but often also complete vacation packages. This corresponds to the common model in the charter business, where the tour operator bundles the flights. In the meantime, Electra Airways remains responsible for operational implementation, which enables Ittaka to concentrate on marketing.

market development and future perspectives

The emergence of "Air 001" shows a remarkable trend in the European travel industry, in which tour operators are increasingly creating their own flight brands. Despite the challenges of volatile kerosene prices and strong competition, the new airline offers exciting perspectives, especially for ITAKA, to control capacities themselves and to better manage price fluctuations. In the long term, there is the possibility to expand the fleet and possibly get an independent approval for flight operations.
