Anna Engelke becomes the deputy head of the ARD capital studio - new moderations and responsibilities from summer
Anna Engelke, the former spokeswoman for Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, will take over the position of the deputy head of the ARD main studio from July 1. This was approved by the articles of ARD after both the Südwestrundfunk and Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg had submitted the proposal. Engelke worked for Federal President Steinmeier from March 2017 to March 2022 and then switched to NDR.
From summer, Engelke will alternate with the future studio manager Markus Preiß and the other deputy director Matthias Deiß and present the "Report from Berlin". In addition, she will take over the management of the Radio Community Editor in the ARD main studio, while the previous director Martin Ganslmeier moves to the ARD radio studio in New York.
Anna Engelke's career began in the nineties as a volunteer at the NDR. Then she worked as a correspondent for the broadcaster in Bonn, Berlin and Washington D.C. She was released for her role as spokeswoman for the Federal President from 2017 to 2022. After her time at the Federal President, she worked as a co-host of the NDR Info-Podcast "Armed Forces and Strategies".
