According to the Ministry of Transport in Stuttgart, there were 53,690 such tickets at the end of January, which granted the employer a monthly grant of 25 euros. The increase in the Baden-Württemberg job ticket was 87 percent in the period from April 2023 to January 2024.

Transport Minister Winfried Hermann von der Grünen expressed his joy that more and more national employees could be motivated to switch to public transport by using the job ticket. This is an important contribution to climate protection and serves as a model for other employers. The increasing figures in the past year would show that the Germany ticket has increased the incentive to changeover to public transport. In addition, it should be noted that more and more companies in the private sector made similar offers for their employees to use bus and train. According to the Ministry of Transport, a fifth of the state employees are now using the job ticket.

The Germany ticket was introduced on May 1, 2023 for nationwide trips in local and regional transport. It can be booked digitally and can be terminated monthly at an introductory price of 49 euros. The increasing use of the Baden-Württemberg job ticket and the positive development in local public transport show an increasing trend towards the use of environmentally friendly transport, which benefits both climate protection and the traffic situation in Baden-Württemberg.
