Beethovenfest 2025: Program presentation

The Beethovenfest 2025 announces an exciting and innovative program that takes place in Bonn and the surrounding area from August 28 to September 27th. Under the direction of director Steven Walter, the festival will be presented this year under the motto "Alles Ultra". This relocation from the more state -supporting topic of the previous year to a cooler, experience -oriented program design is also reflected in the choice of format. Instead of a traditional press conference, the program presented as a public concert party in the "Factory 45", which integrates the audience into the festivities and creates a feeling of community.

Aurora Orchestra and Samy Deluxe at the start

The opening concert on August 29 will start with the Aurora Orchestra and the violinist Alena Baeva, the Beethoven's violin concert under the direction of Nicholas Collon. At the same time, the well -known rapper Samy Deluxe will enliven the city with a creative mix of rap and baroque music. This merger of Genres underlines the declared goal of the festival to bridge cultural differences and to address a wider public. The final concert with the Budapest Festival Orchestra will also set highlights by combining Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 with Bartók's "The Wonderful Mandarin".

Goethe's influence and the motto "Everything Ultra"

Walter is inspired by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, who had a critical view of the social developments of his time in a letter to Carl Friedrich Zelter in 1825. The connection to Goethe's idea invites you to think about the diversity and the possibilities that exist today. Walter emphasizes that the festival relies less on explanations, but rather wants to convey a feeling of possibilities and freedom. This positive reinterpretation of "Ultra" should give festival visitors the feeling that everything is possible.

variety of performances and artists

The festival not only offers classic concerts, but also dance and acrobatic performances, including from the Yoann Bourgeois Art Company together with the pianist Olga Scheps. The return of the cellist Anastasia Kobekina and Jerusalem Quartet, which will perform Schostakovich's entire string quartet, are also part of the program, and illustrate the high quality and variety of artists.

continuation of traditions

Together with the Bonn musician Fabian Müller, who conducts Beethoven's piano sonatas and symphonies, the festival will also offer younger talents a platform. It becomes clear that the Beethovenfest 2025 not only promises musical highlights, but also wants to create a space for innovation and creative exchange, which is recognized as "Ultra Gut" by the Mayor of Bonn.
