A 500 kilogram English flying bomb was discovered on Monday, April 29th during renovation work in the Hartbergbad in Bonn. The city of Bonn announced that an evacuation radius of 500 meters was determined around the site. The fire brigade has issued a warning via the Nina app and the evacuation is expected to begin from 6 p.m. In addition to private houses, the Konrad-Adenauer-Damm and the Ministry of Defense are also affected by the evacuation.

The ordnance clearing service was already on site due to exploratory work and was able to give an assessment of the type of the bomb. In the afternoon of Monday, law enforcement officers and firefighters got an overview of the Situation. The residents are instructed to avoid the area in a large scale and to pay attention to instructions from the police and fire brigade.
