building fire with smoke development in Dransdorf and parallel inserts
In the early evening, the fire brigade and the emergency services in Bonn were alerted to a fire in a business in Bendenweg in Dransdorf at 9:19 p.m. When the emergency services arrived, flames burned from the windows of the first floor, accompanied by strong smoke development. In order to prevent the fire from spreading to the entire commercial bar, the alarm level was adjusted upwards and additional forces requested.
The fire brigade immediately started an inner and outdoor attack. These measures quickly led to the control of the fire. Several extinguishing teams from the professional and volunteer fire brigade were used with severe respiratory protection to carry out re-extinguishing work and the building into incentives. Fortunately, there were no people in the building at the time the fire broke out, so there was no injured person. After about three hours, the missions on Bendenweg could be successfully completed.
The strong smoke development led to an increased number of emergency calls that entered into the control center - a total of around 20 information from the neighboring districts in the north of Bonn. In order to meet the situation appropriately, a fire truck was quickly sent to the site. On site it turned out that there was only a smell of fire that was due to the action in the Bendenweg. The odor nuisance could no longer be determined at a later date.
A total of around 50 emergency services from the professional fire brigade and members of various units of the volunteer fire brigade, including Dransdorf, Mitte, Buschdorf, Endsich, Rheindorf and Röttgen, were required to cope with the site. This coordinated effort shows the efficiency of the urban emergency services when fighting fire and ensuring public security.
