Bonn: Demonstrations on May 1st

On Thursday, May 1st, two different demonstrations that will move through the city center are planned in Bonn. According to the Bonn police, the "Internationalist May 1, Bündnis" has registered with around 400 participants. This meeting bears the motto "out of May 1st" and starts at 10:30 a.m. The march leads through several streets of the city, including the Endersicher Straße, Viktoriabrücke and Hochstadenring, and ends around 12:30 p.m.

Afterwards, another demonstration starts at 1 p.m. on the marketplace. Under the motto "Hence with good life - living space for everyone!" The organizer "Die Linke" also expects around 400 participants. The path leads, among other things, over the Bischofsplatz, Kaiserplatz and Breite Strasse. This demonstration will end at around 3 p.m.

The police have already pointed out that considerable traffic impairments must be expected during the demonstrations. This applies in particular to the streets used by the demonstrations. The police specialists have planned measures to ensure the security of the participants and passers -by.

May 1st, which is known as the day of work, traditionally draws numerous people to demonstrations and rallies in many cities worldwide.
