Demonstration in Bonn-Gronau: Traffic disruptions on May 8th

Bonn-on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, the "ver.di Federal Administration Energy Industry" expects a large-scale demonstration in Bonn-Gronau. The central theme of the event is tariff autonomy, including the current regulatory challenges and the role of the Federal Network Agency. The organizers expect around 8,000 participants who will travel from different parts of Germany. The meeting takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the walkway of the Helmut-Kohl-Allee, in the immediate vicinity of the Federal Network Agency.

In order to ensure security during the event, federal road 9 is reduced south, especially at Heussallee/Genscherscherman. For the arrival of the numerous expected coaches - around 100 - several areas are blocked as storage areas. These include parts of Marie-Kahle-Allee and sections of the Oscar Romero-Allee. The Baunscheidstraße remains accessible for diversion purposes.

Due to the demonstration, traffic impairments in the immediate vicinity of the meeting can be expected. The first closures begin from 8:00 a.m. to ensure that the event runs smoothly. The Bonn police will also offer the assembly to ensure the safety of the participants and residents.
