Dramatic animal rescue on the L331: Horse crashed into trailers - fire brigade in action

The Königswinter volunteer fire brigade was alerted on Wednesday evening at 5:50 p.m. for an animal rescue on the L331 between Oberpleis and Ittenbach. On site, the emergency services found that a horse had an accident in a transport trailer due to a brake maneuver. The animal stuck between a middle plan and the outer wall of the trailer and scored violently with panic until it could be calmed down by the owners. Another horse in the trailer was brought to a meadow to calm down.

To free the trapped animal, the emergency services dismantled the middle splance in the trailer. Both horses were then brought safely to the meadow, where a veterinarian checked their health. Fortunately, nobody was injured, and the animals were also well. The L331 was completely blocked during the mission to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
