Burglary in Königswinter: suspicious men on the run

Blue-report for Bonn, April 16, 2025: Burglary in Königswinter-Rauschendorf-criminal police determined and asks for information

On Tuesday morning, April 15, 2025, a single-family house on the “Dornhecke” street in Königswinter-Räuschendorf was the goal of a burglary. Unknown perpetrators broke into the building around 9:15 a.m. by throwing in the glazing of a patio door and then searching the inside of the house according to possible stolen goods. The investigative authorities are currently examining whether the burglars actually made prey in this incident.

Before the arrival of the police, which was alerted by attentive residents, the perpetrators took the fleeing in an unknown direction. Witnesses reported four masked men, one of them described as small and slim. This gives the investigative authorities important information on the identification of the suspects.

While the police officers drove to the crime scene, they noticed a black Audi with a foreign license plate who was traveling in the opposite direction. The vehicle could not be checked, and it is examined whether a connection between this car and the break -in or a previously failed attempt to break in there on April 11, 2025.

The criminal police have started the investigation and is looking for information from the population. In particular, observations by suspects or vehicles near the crime scene are requested on Tuesday morning.
