On Sunday evening, April 20, a break -in was carried out in a family home in Lohmar. At 10:30 p.m., the residents of the house, both aged 57 and 58, noticed noises that alerted them. Immediately afterwards, an unknown man entered her bedroom, which led to a panic -like escape of the burglar. The homeowner tried to follow the perpetrator, but lost sight of him when a car parked nearby was visible as an escape vehicle.

The alarmed police forces quickly came on site and found lever tracks on the patio door and ransacked rooms. Fortunately, no thief was obtained. As part of the search for the search, the police discovered a suspicious vehicle, which led to a persecution. The 33-year-old driver of the vehicle disregarded hinge and caused a serious traffic accident a little later, in which six people were injured.

After the accident, the officials checked a pedestrian who resembled the fleeting burglar. It turned out that this 38-year-old man from Troisdorf was already known for similar offenses. He was arrested, while his alleged accomplice was also temporarily taken into custody, but was then released again. The investigation is still underway against both suspects, especially the 38-year-olds.

The incidents once again put a light on the problem of burglaries and the associated risks in escape campaigns. Such crimes not only have physical, but also emotionally stressful effects on those affected. The police emphasize the importance of prevention measures to prevent such acts in advance. According to the current developments, the population is called for vigilance and asked to report suspicious activities.
