On May 3, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the 565 motorway near Bonn-Lengsdorf, in which three people were injured. Around 2:02 p.m., an emergency call was triggered by the Ecall system of one of the vehicles involved at the fire brigade and the Bonn emergency services. Another witness who had observed the incident from the opposite lane also reported the collision and reported on a vehicle that had rolled over.

While the emergency services from Bonn were on the way to the scene of the accident, an ambulance from Koblenz, who was currently transporting a patient, was able to provide the injured first aid. When the fire brigade arrived, it turned out that two of the three affected people were still in the car lying on the roof. The fire brigade Lengsdorf started immediately with the securing of the vehicle and the care of the patients.

The second vehicle was also affected, but the slightly injured driver was able to free herself independently. She immediately received medical help from the emergency services. During the entire duration of the service, the 565 motorway was closed in the direction of Cologne in order to be able to carry out the rescue measures safely.

The extensive commodity measure, in which the voluntary fire brigades of Bonn -Lengsdorf and -Duisdorf as well as the rüsteinheit of Feuerwache 1 were also involved, could be completed at around 3:00 p.m. Such accidents illustrate the importance of fast action and the smooth process of emergency services on motorways.
