The city of Bonn is looking for committed students to support the project "Democracy Active!". The aim is for the selected democracy buddies to accompany the students over a whole school year. This role plays a crucial importance for promoting democracy and social participation among young people.
The task of the democracy buddies requires a weekly effort of about three hours, supplemented by the obligation to participate in training. The activity is on a voluntary basis, but an allowance is paid. This commitment is aimed at the personal development and identity formation of children and adolescents and strengthens their skills for active political participation.
