Chamber of Crafts in Cologne presents trainee Meetup Handwerk - training fair in the Lanxess Arena

On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the largest training fair for the craft in the region will take place in the Lanxess Arena. Almost 100 companies from Cologne, Bonn, Leverkusen and the adjacent circles will be represented under the title Azubi Meetup Handwerk. The aim of the event is to give young people who are looking for their professional life to show their manual skills, to establish direct contact with potential employers and ideally go home with an internship or training position.

The training fair is organized by the Chamber of Crafts in Cologne (HWK) in cooperation with the district craftsmen Cologne, Bonn/Rhein-Sieg, Rhein-Erft and Bergisches Land for the second time. Around 1,000 interested parties visited the fair at the premiere in the previous year. The event is free of charge for all visitors and takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The HWK recommends that the young people bring their application documents to the same way in order to be able to imagine the companies directly.

The focus of the trainee Meetup is on offering a platform where young people and craft businesses can contact in order to explore potential training and career opportunities. With the variety of almost 100 participating companies from various industries of the craft, visitors get a comprehensive insight into the various professional fields and can make initial contacts for their professional future. The organizers are confident that the fair will also attract numerous visitors this year who can benefit from the diverse possibilities and perspectives in the craft.
