Hope for participating in EM: Nico Schlotterbeck fights for nomination

Nico Schlotterbeck from Dortmund continues to hope for his participation in the European Football Championship in summer. In an interview with the TV broadcaster "Sky", the central defender of Borussia Dortmund expressed himself optimistic. Nevertheless, national coach Julian Nagelsmann has not nominated the 24-year-old professional since taking office last September.

Schlotterbeck, who has had all his eleven missions in the DFB jersey before Nagelsmann's term, hopes that the national coach will soon take him into account, preferably in summer. The player celebrated his international match in March 2022 in the victory against Israel, and he was also able to record two missions for the national team at the World Cup in Qatar.

Despite the strong competition at Borussia Dortmund, among other things by players like Mats Hummels and Niklas Süle, Schlotterbeck does not give up. He tries to convince through performance and hopes that Nagelsmann ultimately nominates him. The player emphasizes that he does his best to achieve his goal and that he would be happy about a nomination if it came to it.
