New beer highlight in Cologne/Bonn Airport
openedIn April 2025, a new brewery was opened at Cologne/Bonn Airport that wants to offer travelers a special gastronomic experience. Under the name "Early to late", created in cooperation between Avolta AG and Brewery Früh Kölsch, passengers can enjoy a selection of regional dishes and drinks in the departure area of Terminal 1.
For the opening ceremony, representatives of both companies and the airport director Thilo Schmid showed up. Together they tapped the first Kölsch and underlined that the new brewery is part of a comprehensive redesign of the airport. A total of 17 new catering offers are to be created in the coming months. The aim of these initiatives is to increase the quality of stay for travelers and offer them a wider range of culinary experiences.
The brewery presents a varied menu that includes traditional Rhenish dishes such as Sauerbraten and onion rust roast. Sandwiches are available for snacks. In addition to Kölsch early, non -alcoholic drinks, spirits and coffee specialties are served around the clock, which increases the flexibility for travelers.
The design of the restaurant combines rustic and modern elements to create a pleasant atmosphere to linger. This combination aims to offer guests an inviting place, even on short stays. The brewery early, which has been established in Cologne for over 111 years, uses regional ingredients to strengthen the local identity and to bring travelers closer to Rhenish hospitality.
"Early to late" is only one of the new gastronomic concepts at the airport, which also includes Le Crobag and Espresso House. In the future, further offers such as an oriental restaurant and a Mediterranean restaurant are planned. This transformation takes place at the same time as the main travel time in order to meet the requirements for the airport and to ensure a comprehensive culinary experience.
